Currently, it’s only available to California residents, but the company hopes that will change soon so that more consumers can experience this level of environmentally friendly while on the road. The base model starts at $29,000 and the limited model at $32,000 making it a relatively affordable option for car buyers.

 

The Toyota Prius is a car name long associated with the green car movement. Toyota keeps upping its game with the latest Toyota Prius Eco which is considered one of the very best cars for the environment. The car gets a combined miles per gallon rating of 56 and the base model starts at just over $25,000.

 

The new Fiat 500E offers a range of more than 80 miles on a single charge. It also gets the equivalent of more than 100 miles per gallon on the highway. The cars are offered in flashy colors like retro light blue and electric orange. The electric models are currently only available to residents of California and Oregon, and will set you back about $32,000 for a fully-loaded model.
