Small Business Solar Electric $.35-$1.25 per watt up to $10,000 for solar electric systems under 20kW
$500 per kilowatt up to $50,000 for solar electric systems between 20 and 100 kW
Small Business Solar Hot Water 30% of the installed cost up to $2,000
15% of installed cost up to $25,000 for systems larger than 100 sq. ft.
Property Tax Exemption 100% property tax exemption for solar systems
Sales and Use Tax Exemption 100% sales and use tax exemption for solar systems
County Incentives
Anne Arundel County 50% of the total cost of solar systems less federal and state incentives up to $2500
Harford County 100% of total real property taxes for one year up to $2500
Howard County 50% of eligible costs of solar systems – solar electric up to $5000, solar hot water up to $1500
Montgomery County 50% of eligible costs of solar systems - solar electric up to $5000, solar hot water up to $1500
Prince George’s County 50% of eligible costs of solar hot water systems up to $1500
